The Useppa Man Acrylic on Panel 12”x16” by John Seerey-Lester

The Useppa Man was uncovered
during an archeological dig on the
Island in 1989. It became one of the
most important finds on Useppa. He
was found in an area of earth 4500
years old, although the burial itself is
believed to be more recent. Seerey-
Lester, was actually there during this
dig, and remembers it well. Notice the lightning whelks around the head.
