This formal portrait of Gar and Sanae
survived ‘Hurricane Charley”
despite the enormous damage to
the Barron Collier Room at the Collier
Inn, where it hung. The windows
imploded, the ceiling and roof destroyed,
but miraculously and thanks
to the quick thinking actions of one
of the “Dirty Dozen”, Scott (Fish), the
painting survived.
