"Oblivious"

As
dusk falls on the campsite of these early 20th century hunters,
they settle into their tents for an early night. Perhaps resigned
to it having been a disappointing day, they have doused the fire
and are unaware of the herd of bison passing by, which is also
seemingly oblivious to the hunters presence. The next day the
hunters will no doubt discover the tracks of their missed prize
and will press on in search of other game.
I enjoy painting twilight
scenes where I can contrast the cool eerie light of descending
darkness with a warm welcoming light.
