      This black-maned lion is a real prize for this hunter. It is 1910 and the proud hunter, gun across his lap, has probably changed into clean safari clothes to have a photograph taken to immortalize the moment. The bearer’s pole, which transported the lion back to camp from the bush, is lying at the side of the beast.
